Training Opportunities Offered by MPFC

COUNCIL NEWS:
  • The 9th Annual Workshop is scheduled for Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6, 2008.  Click here for Registration Form.
    • Friday (September 5) sessions will be technical and geared toward professional fire personnel. It will be held at the Library of Michigan at the Michigan Historical Center in downtown Lansing.
    • Saturday (September 6) will be a half-day field trip to learn about prescribed burning. It will be held at Lincoln Brick Park (Eaton County Parks) (about 30 minutes from Lansing).
  • The Fire Council is planning a Fire Academy. Possible course offerings: S-200 (Initial Attack Incident Commander), S-230 (Crew Boss) and S-231 (Engine Boss).

  • S-131 (Firefighter Type 1)/S-290 (Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior)
