PhD candidate / instructor
Adam is a US Navy veteran and PhD candidate / instructor at Western Michigan University, where he earned both his BA (English), BS (Biological Sciences), and his MS (Biological Sciences) en route. His research focuses on community assembly in created wetlands and optimizing habitat for at-risk species - especially rare herpetofauna - as part of the Schriever Wetland Ecology lab. Adam co-directs the Midwest Friends of Wildlife (MW FOWL), a non-profit organization providing nature-based educational experiences that fund on-the-ground conservation research and restoration activities.
