Air Resource Specialist, USFS

Alexia is an Air Resource Specialist for the Eastern Region of the USDA Forest Service.  In her role, Alexia works on smoke forecasting for prescribed fire, monitors visibility, and provides guidance regarding air quality impacts for a variety of projects.  She is also an Air Resource Advisor (ARA) trainee, preparing to assist with the understanding and prediction of smoke impacts during a wildfire.  Alexia has a B.S. in Meteorology from Valparaiso University and a M. Eng in Applied Climate from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!).

In her free time, Alexia is a high school basketball coach.  She also enjoys hiking, traveling, playing basketball and sand volleyball, watching sports, and listening to Beyoncé on repeat.  She likes spending time with family and friends in the Milwaukee area, especially during the summer.
