Emeritus Professor, Pennsylvania Western University
Dr. Carol Bocetti is Emeritus Professor at Pennsylvania Western University at California, PA. She received her B.S. in Wildlife Ecology at University of Florida and her M.S. And Ph.D. in Zoology at Ohio State University and the USGS Ohio Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. She worked for 12 years with USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center as an endangered species specialist, continuing her graduate research on Kirtland's Warblers and initiating research on the Delmarva fox squirrel.
After joining the university, she continued to serve on the Recovery Teams of both species until they were de-listed from the protections of the Endangered Species Act. Dr. Bocetti has received 3 national awards for her scholarship and leadership in the recovery of these species. As a founding member of the Kirtland's Warbler Conservation Team, she continues to serve in this active conservation partnership.
